Natalia Ramos
Founder, CEO, Principal Planner
A proud Puerto Rican, born in Ohio and raised in Arizona, Natalia built MatchBox Event Co. just like she does all her weddings, with grit and grace. Her love language? Throwing events for the people she loves, because bringing people together in meaningful ways is what makes life beautiful.
She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management from W.A. Frank College of Business at Northern Arizona University and has spent her entire career in the world of hospitality. Before starting MatchBox Event Co., Natalia excelled in her previous roles as an event venue manager, luxury floral designer, large-scale event production coordinator, and produced globally recognized brand activations for big-name brands.
On wedding day, you can find Natalia: Reminding the staff to smile (it's our couple's best day ever) and overseeing EVERY detail.In her free time, she is: with her husband (college sweetheart, a firefighter for the City of Phoenix) and 1-year-old son, traveling to their favorite destinations, enjoying great food, and spending quality time with their big familY.

Where does MatchBox come from?
“My grandmother was a housekeeper for over 20+ years at the Four Seasons. She was everyone’s favorite, guests would come year after year and request that she be the one to attend to their suites. There was one guest who would gift matchbooks they collected during their travels to her every year. I would use them to light all the candles in her house when visiting, just to blow them all out and start all over. When I got older, I realized what a beautiful testimony those matchbooks were. She made people feel so seen, so heard, and so loved that even when they were halfway around the world, they were thinking about bringing back a matchbook to her months later.
